OK, I'm in. Provided I can finish the dreadnought I'm building for my nephew first. I was thinking of a fretless electric bass then I remembered the doodle I made of my first hero's axe. This seems like the perfect opportunity. Attachment: rudy.JPG

Just a thought. I'm a bassist and I was talking to a fellow bass player at church the other week who told me about his experience on a fretless. He said he kept forgetting to move his fingers a little farther forward so everything he played was a little flat. The rest of his band wasn't too happy. Pretty funny. |

Hey, hey, hey. Well this has been a little more difficult than I expected. While it's not like trying to build the Mach 5, bringing a cartoon to life while still keeping the cartoonish aspects has been tough. One nice thing is that whoever drew the original must have copied directly from a photo. The neck is roughly in scale and the pickup is where it should be. I guess Rudy was emulating Keith Richards though as it was just a 5 string. The headstock still needs some work. The original was huge and I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to blend the lightning bolt shape into the neck. The body looks a little wonky too, but I guess that's the point.
